Ashwagandha BIO

Capsules of ashwagandha, one of the rarest herbs in Ayurveda.

Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 1.5 meters. You can recognise it by its fleshy roots, simple green oval leaves and round orange-red berries. In the Ayurvedic diet, the root is most commonly used, as it contains the most active ingredients.

It is also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry. In Ayurveda, ashwagandha is considered a "Rasayana". It has adaptogenic properties, which means that it adapts fully to the body.

Cosmoveda capsules contain ashwagandha root powder, which is finely ground below 40°C and sourced from the organic regions of India and Sri Lanka.
