Aronia(Aronia melanocarpa) is a deciduous shrub with edible fruits or berries. Aronia berries are dark purple, almost black in colour, which is why it is also called black rowan.
The plant is native to eastern North America, but today it can also be found in our country because its appearance, weather resistance and edible berries make it an ornament in many gardens.
