White mulberry - little known in our country, but very tasty.
White Mulberry (Morus alba) is a tree with edible fruits that is native to China. It can grow to a height of 10 to 18 metres and can be recognised by its widely branched crown, bright green leaves with serrated edges and white or pink flowers.
White mulberry fruits are similar to raspberries, white in colour and very juicy or refreshing. Ripe mulberries can be eaten raw, but they can also be added to fruit cups, fruit salad and baked goods, or made into jams, jellies, fruit dressing, syrup, wine and even aperitifs.
