Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) is a herb first described in 1753 by Carl Linné. It was first described as a species, but was later found to be a cross between two species of mint (common and water mint).

Mint is a plant or herb that was used in ancient Greece and can now be found in almost every home garden. It is mainly used to prepare various herbal mixtures, teas or syrups.

The capsules contain fennel extract, which naturally aids digestion.

Fennel (Phoeniculum vulgare) is a plant that was known and appreciated by the Egyptians. Consumption of fennel has a beneficial effect on digestion because:
