Cat's Claw, Spanish Una de Gato (Uncaria tomentosa) is an interesting tropical climber that attaches thorns in the form of "claws" to neighboring tree trunks that grow along its leaf stems. It is because of their special shape that the plant was given the name "cat's claw".

The plant thrives in the Amazon rainforests of South America, reaching heights of more than twenty metres.

Use
