Lutein Complex by NewFood combines:

• the fatty acids EPA and DHA,
• lutein and
• beta carotene.

Lutein and beta carotene are pigments that belong to the carotenoids. Lutein is a natural component of the retina and lens of the eye. It is mainly present in organisms that carry out photosynthesis. We can get it into our bodies through food, most of it is found in green leafy vegetables (kale, spinach, chicory, lettuce), oranges, apricots and egg yolk.

Beta carotene is the pigment responsible for the orange-yellow colour of fruits and vegetables.

EPA and DHA - contribute to the maintenance of vision and brain function!

The fatty acids EPA or eicosapentaenoic acid and DHA or docosahexaenoic acid are omega 3 fatty acids. They are so-called good fats, but our bodies cannot make them, so we have to supply them to our bodies ourselves.

DHA is important for our body because it plays a role in maintaining vision and brain function (a beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA).

EPA and DHA are found in seafood, especially fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines.

The product is a dietary supplement.
