Burdock ointment

Leaf ointment - with a beneficial effect on the skin.

Excellent preparation for the care of the skin of the whole body. As the product is well tolerated by the skin, it is suitable even for young children (from 3 years of age). It is based on ancient formulas with highly valued burdock root extract, which has a beneficial effect on the skin.

The main active ingredient is the root of Linden(Arctium Lappa). Linden is widespread throughout the country and is often found along watercourses, along forest paths and clearings. It grows to a height of 1.5 m. It is distinguished by its crimson and purple flowers.

First of all, the buttercup is known for its seeds, which are hidden in pods that have hooks at the end and are therefore also called thistles - they get stuck on our clothes or on our dog's fur when we are walking in the countryside. As a curiosity, we can add that these natural burdock "thistles" were the inspiration for Velcro used on shoes and clothes respectively.

For centuries burdock has been used for a variety of purposes, including the golden roots of this interesting plant, and in particular it is a common ingredient in ancient recipes for skin ointments.

The effect of burdock is also supported by other plant active ingredients such asthyme, walnut leaves, fenugreek, limewort. This is a unique combination that enhances the effects of burdock.

The basis of burdock ointment is purified pork fat (extracted by hot steam), which in its composition is one of the best bases for skin ointments. It is very well absorbed into the skin and is a good carrier of the active substances in the herbs. Although nowadays it is mostly replaced by synthetic materials, good quality fat is still an excellent choice.

The ointment also contains beeswax, which has excellent protective and moisturizing properties, further enhancing the resulting quality of the ointment.

Use

How to use burdock ointment correctly:

Wash the skin on which you will apply the ointment with soap-free water and dry well. Apply the ointment in a thin layer on the skin so that it does not clog the pores and gently rub into the skin for 2-3 minutes. Use as needed or 2-3 times a day. When used properly, the effects of the ointment are enhanced.
