Curcuma(Curcuma longa), also called yellow ginger, is a spice plant that originated in Asia and has a long tradition of use in Ayurveda. The most useful and effective part of the plant is its root, which is characteristically bright yellow in colour.
Vita World capsules contain, in addition to this yellow spice:
- Piperine from black pepper extract (Piper nigrum), which is often added to turmeric for better absorption and thus effectiveness.
- Vitamin B1 or thiamine, which contributes to the functioning of the nervous system and plays a role in heart function.
- Vitamin B2 or riboflavin, which is an antioxidant, contributes to the reduction of fatigue, and plays a role in the maintenance of normal red blood cells.
- Vitamin B6 plays a role in the regulation of hormone function, red blood cell formation and immune system function.
