Coffee is a widespread and popular stimulant that is prepared from boiled ground berries or coffee beans (Coffea).

Modern coffee culture, as it is now widespread throughout the world, developed in the 18th century in Europe. However, coffee has a long history even before that. According to legend, its effects were accidentally discovered by a goat herder observing the behaviour of his animals as they ate the fruit of the coffee tree. He also tried it himself and eventually started making a drink from the berries.

Many people can't imagine starting the day without coffee, and everyone has their favourite way of making the drink - Turkish, filtered, espresso, with milk, sugar...

Use

Preparation advice: When preparing coffee, avoid excessively high temperatures, preserving all the coffee's aromas and many of its beneficial ingredients. Ideally, the water should not boil or not exceed 90°C. Excessively high temperatures release chemicals from the coffee that can have a negative effect on cholesterol and the heart.

When preparing Turkish coffee, remove the coffee pot from the stove as soon as the contents have risen slightly and turn off the stove.
