D-mannose is a natural sugar that belongs to the group of monosaccharides and is naturally found in some plants such as blueberries, cranberries, corn and apricots. It is also obtained from wild birch, which is a common source of D-mannose in dietary supplements.

It has the peculiarity of being more slowly absorbed and most is not metabolized, but is excreted from the body through the kidneys and urinary tract in urine. At the same time, it is not stored in the liver as an energy reservoir, but remains in the blood, from where it passes via the kidneys to the bladder. Its use is therefore safe even for diabetics, but it is still advisable to monitor blood sugar levels.

Use
