Hummus is a traditional Oriental dish that originated in Egypt - it was prepared and eaten there as early as 7000 years ago. The word hummus means chickpea in Arabic, so it's no wonder this delicious dish was given this name - its main ingredient is chickpea!

It doesn't have a clear definition though, but the easiest way to describe it would be as a spread - and it can be used in many ways, as a standalone dish, a dip for vegetables or as an ingredient in other dishes.

Quick and easy to prepare in just 1 minute - just add water and olive oil and stir!

Organic Hummus Blend from the Bett ́r range by Smart Organic contains only cinnamon and sesame flour and spices such as garlic and cumin powder. All ingredients are grown organically and the blend is packaged in recyclable packaging - so you're taking care of your ecological footprint, too.

Use

Ingredients you need:

• 50 g organic hummus mix (5 heaped tablespoons),
• 60-65 ml room temperature water,
• 20-25 ml olive oil (or to taste)

Preparation:

1. Add room temperature water to the BIO hummus mixture and whisk until smooth.

2. Add olive oil and stir until you get a homogeneous mixture.

3. If desired, add freshly squeezed lemon juice and other spices to the hummus.
